She Came June 8, 2004
10:40 pm, June 8, 2004. She came. I was in bed, Half asleep, Remembering a look, On the face, Of my joyous great grandma. I heard voices, From my window. I heard J. Lo, Singing outside, through, The radio in a car, I had not seen. My heartbeat woke me up. I knew before I knew, That she had come. Suddenly the voices outside, Were in the next room. Now the voice is, Talking and talking and, Coming from her face. On the side of my bed, Saying things better left, Unsaid. She came.
