Savage Wonder

Contributed by evilfairy on Thursday, 10th June 2004 @ 07:32:58 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Savage wonder brings me to my knees
Glory in the passion that swirls around me
Lightening archs upon the sky that was dark
And savage wonder consumes my every fear

Savage is the breath that uproots the tree
Danger in the beat that soothes and lulls gently
Fury that fights the land and forces to submit
The wild and strong will abandoned in sweet surrender

Wisdom is lost and desire brought to the fore
Expectations gone in the flood of the old
And new is the feeling that draws me near
For close I am drawn to the heart of the storm

Tears that erupt fall down from the sky
Wet to the skin I am heated within
Ice may pelt and the wind may blow
But savage wonder has me enthralled

Awesome!!! Spectacular!!! I love it! Great poem!

It kind of reminds me of "Drops of Reign" or "Standing in the Rain" of mine. I'm such a rain nut. That goes for storms too.

Again, I love it.

Lots of love and peace be with you,

Chelsea

I agree with the others, very well done, well described poetically. I happen to be a Storm Chaser/Spotter here in wisconsin, USA, and that poem really rings true. I love storms more than most other things, in fact a good storm wipes out bad feelings, and brings alive my soul, and soothes my every thoughts into oblivion.

Thanks for sharing that one, it was wonderful. Now I can't wait for the next storm to find me, or me to find it.
