The life is draining out of me
How did I get so lost?
My breathing’s getting shallow
And our words are getting crossed.
One day I’m feeling so damn good
And the next I fall apart
Can’t let this merry take me ‘round
I don’t want life’s a la carte.
I’d just like my emotions true
And my lover to need me
I’ll make a better life for us
For all who doubt, to see.
Each day I find a little more
My thoughts begin to clear
I know what she expects of me
It’s tough, but I’m still here.
Most things have been looking up
Except for where we are
Maybe if we talk more still
We’ll find we’re not so far.
I have to keep that hope alive
As I’m still missing you
And take tomorrow as it comes
I see a Hint Of Blue.
Honey, I want you so much
I pray you want me too
So just let your clouds dissipate
And be my Hint Of Blue.
Let me reflect in your green eyes
Our love that’s now past due
I want to be that ray of light
Upon your Hint Of Blue.
