I sit alone and wonder why
how I ever let you say good-bye
you were why Im me
you see...you made me real, you made me free
This burning passion is burning right through
I'm tryng to hold on and not forget you
you held me every night
you made things perfect
made things feel right
It was hard you know I hate good-byes
but still you insisted and,
brought tears to my eyes
I tried, tried to fight the pain
but I was standing there left out in the rain
if only you'd stop and and see
if you'd stay how your life could be
I'd be there every waking moment
just to hear your slow breaths
I'd wake at your side
and see your morning stretch
I'd be there every morning for you...
just to hear what you dreamt about
i guess it's over
everything I thought was real
I hate feeling pain, I hate seeing others cry
if its for other reasons just tell me why
please, please just turn around
and why the tears form my eyes
I love you so much
but I'm not so good at saying good-byes
