My wrist,
it will be scarred;
I will be shattered,
torn and broken
lying on the floor.
They'll walk in
and see the tainted skin,
they'll see the pools of red
and they will cry for what is dead.
Tears of bitter pain.
They'll see the shattered shards
of all that was
and can never now be.
And they'll feel a fraction
of the pain,
that is my soul.
I just can't fake it for you anymore.
I can't take it for you anymore.
I just can't do it anymore.
This splint cannot hide the pain inside.
The wound reopens
and the blood sings like a symphony.
And when i'm dying on that floor
will you see the truth?
It wasn't you i promise.
It's always been me.
There's always me.
You've come and gone,
and now it's finally my turn to go.
Let me go.
Let me go.
You have to let me go.
The urgency fading,
just a mass of twisted answers
spinning in dizzying circles.
Can you let it go?
Just let i go.
Leave the shiny serated answers
because they're all that are left;
all I have left.

wow very good poem Kara. I liked the emotion that u portrayed in this. Its kind of wierd since I cut my wrists 2 days ago so now my wrists are all torn and what not. Anyway I loved it all I think this one ranks up there with your best.
