Perfect Love

Contributed by DragonLuvSong on Saturday, 12th June 2004 @ 10:38:48 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

As I lay down to sleep; I lie in waiting;
For the midnight slumber in which my dreams can roam;
In these dream there is a man, but I cannot see his face.
My prince charming is a great mystery to me.
He is a blank canvas, one on which fate must still paint.
There has already been a picture there; but the watercolor has faded,
And those paints dissolved.
Now there are oil-paints waiting for their turn on the cavas.
My true love is near; I must only wait for him to appear.

When I finally see the finished portrait I hope that it brings me felicitiy.
I want my love to shine with happiness; never to die.
Love is not fleeting, because then it isn't love.
Love is ever-lasting, never leaving you behind.
If your love leaves you, then it is lust.
Only to be felt by you, never returned.
You may admire him from afar, but you will never have him.
You may watch him with your heart, but never hold him.
And you may wish for his love, but never feel him.

Finding love, whenever it can be found, is precious.
Love does not come to just anyone,
You can think you feel love, but never truly grasp the sentiment.
Whenever love comes to me, I want to know it.
I don't want my love leaving without me having felt it.
I don't want my love to forget me, without something to be forgotten.
I want to know love, I may think I have, but love is more special.
It will never leave.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
