Candy coated poison Your love was nothing but a bitter pill Wrapped up in the sugary promise of things to come Funny how I never saw through your lies Like a nave child taking candy from a stranger Strangers always had the best candy, didnt they? Your candy coated poison was so addictive I never realized I was hooked I drank and drank you in Took too much Im drunk on your poison Bitter yet pure Sour yet sweet Your love was nothing but a bitter pill Wrapped up in the sugary promise of things to come Candy coated A gauzy wrapping, too thick to swallow I gag Slowly asphyxiated Everything is turning black Im dying, smothered by your lies Your lies that I tried so desperately to swallow Your love, nothing but a bitter pill You killed me I died Drunk and sick Asphyxiated by the candy coated poison Of the one I always loved And the one I thought loved me.

A beautiful poem, I didnt really mind the repetition because the astounding word choice and concept made up for it.
