Fading Slicznotka

Contributed by Ina on Monday, 14th June 2004 @ 10:46:56 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Old routine
like an old
ballerina
trying to
jump the moon
and then Uranus

We follow
the muddy path
to the liquor store
---booze is my personality----
and Blockbuster
---movies are little short schizophrenics---
and then to Big Boy Gyros
---baseball bats and French fries----
and finally to
your bed
surrounded by dogs, cats, rats
and snakes
that look like
black rubber pipes

We insult each other
with shots of vodka
and I am drunk
on your familiar skin tones

Palms under my butt
keeps the fingers
attached
watch the movie! not my guilty salty lips

You still have the
bed sheets
that we made
together
out of
hair and babies

But Im not your
evil beauty called
Slicznotka
yet
never
anymore
I am the leech
that lays on your bed
with short black fingernails
I am
the dog statue
that almost
looks real

I am the fading Chinese tattoo
on your neck
that means
strength
