lying on the floor inside your heart

Contributed by fallensilence on Monday, 14th June 2004 @ 01:11:33 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

...lying hear on the floor your tears feel like raindrops, only they pour right through me...

well your desolate heart has spent years on the back wall
behind the boxes in which you piled those memories of me
and behind the safe where you store the only picture of us

and i've been watching for stars to wish on
you've been looking for more hearts to step on
the only difference is that i hold you in a room in my heart
but you're not alone like me inside you, only decaying to the point of falling apart
well i need to know that you're heart won't die
so i insist you keep all of mine.

This poem captures how I felt a few times in my life you did real well with the wording. It hit the spot. I really enjoyed it. Keep writing ^_^
