I try to meet your eyes, I try to make it clear,
You shift your gaze away, But I can see the fear,
You don't have to worry, I am not your past,
Take my hand now, Honey, take it and hold fast,
Please don't feel ashamed, Please don't turn away,
Please don't stop me before I have my say,
You think you don't deserve it, you think it can't be true,
But let me tell you something, I can love you, too,
Don't keep your feelings hidden, Don't lock them all inside,
Please just take my hand, let me be your guide,
I will help you through this if you just let me try,
I will not let you slip, or watch you slowly die,
I promise I won't leave, I promise I will stay,
If you just take my hand now and tell me it's okay.
