I just received your letter
And I think I could have died
You asked if I could come over
Now there’s Butterflies Inside.
I can’t believe it’s happening
I’ll see you four days straight
I know I’ll regret missing sleep
But I want to stay real late.
I want that time to hold you
And kiss you head to toe
And tell you all those simple things
That you already know.
Like how much I have missed you
And how great things have been
I’m happy that we’re spending time
Still lovers and best friends.
One day I want to be your groom
If you’ll still be my bride
Until then when I think of you
There’ll be Butterflies Inside.
You make me feel like I’m complete
Each time I see your face
And when we have to be apart
I feel so out of place.
And you and I will always be
Our love can’t be denied
I think that you must feel them too
Sweet Butterflies Inside.
