my love runs cold
i want to step outside this world
find my own
stretch limbs
and breathe the air of a new day
that belongs to just me
see the things
i never imagined i would
discover what it is to my own woman
(even though i'm not a lady)
push boundaries
tear down walls
only to build them up again
if the mood strikes
here i've been held down too long
bound by a love that has fallen out of you
fallen out with me
and left me shivering
left me searching for the sun
in new places
i want to find them all
i want to find me
