Late night, can't sleep
the thoughts of you fill my head
unattainability is not a virtue
more like a torture than anything else.
Who said it was ok to play with my emotions.
Who gave you permission to walk across my heart.
Who decided to give you this much power.
I guess this is what happens when you put your being on the line
Sometimes it gets burned.
Foolish choices, we all make.
Foolish options, we all take.
This time it's over. I've had enough.
Go find someone else to trample.
I'm sick of it.
Go back to your perfect little world
Where everything is without consequence.
Meanwhile, everyone else lives in the real world
Oh, I'm sorry, did I startle you?
I didn't mean anything by it.
Not that I'd admit it to you, anyway.
