Life's Little Stresses

Contributed by kidpoet_213 on Thursday, 17th June 2004 @ 04:03:23 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

No one really knows...
What's going on inside of her...
How the stresses of life... are eating her alive...
And taking their toll
'Cause somewhere along life's way...
She's lost the person... she once was...
To the person she is living... now...

She's just another broken hearted person...
Another empty face in the crowd...
Just wanting to be understood...
By those... she's calls her friends...
Just wanting to be loved...
By someone... she deems to be very special
But she's reaching out the only way...
That she knows how...

Turning bitter on the inside
Always angry at life...
Striking out...
Holding everyone at a distance...
And prosecuting the only person in her life...
Herself...

I know just how she feels...
I've been there many times myself...
Standing at the crossroads...
On the brink of pure and evil Hell...
Standing on the edge of the great precipice of life... looking down...
Staring into the depths of the burning pit...
The all consuming fires of a thousand and one uncertain Hells...

Standing there... staring... and hating herself...
For what she's let her life become...
As the stresses of life finally catch up to her...
She feels as though... she's about ready to explode...
'Cause she can't handle life's burdensome load...
Anymore...

She's ready to die... in the flash of an eye...
Or the slash of a knife cutting across a tender young wrist...
Or just to see what lies at the bottom of an empty pill bottle...
Have mercy on her soul... dear Lord...
'Cause no one... but you... can help her now...

No one really knows...
What's going on inside of her...
How the stresses of life... are eating her alive...
And taking their toll...
Life's just a big ball of confusion...
That she can't unwind...
Her heart and soul are entwined in Satan's bloody ties

For it's not so easy of a deal...
When one feels so all alone...
With no one to talk to about life's little stresses... and shown...
That they sometimes gets you down...
Down into the deep... dark... depths of despair...
Where no one dares to tread... or even to care
About those lost souls living in the depths of life's little stresses

We tend to pull back... leaving them to sink or swim on their own...
To live or die... by their own hand... for we haven't got the time...
To reach out... and pull them back... from the ledge...
Though... we fret about what has happened to them... in the end...
Trying to figure out... why this has happened...
To such a bright and loving young person...

Then we act as though... it was that person's fault...
When in truth... we added to life's little stresses...
By not acting on impulse... with compassion in our hearts...
To try and hear with an open mind...
The anguished cries... of one drowning in the distress... of Satan's little lies

Well... my friends... we are going to be held accountable in the end...
When on... God's Great Judgement Day... for the whole human race...
We will have to answer for those little things in life...
We did or did not do... at any given time...
We may soon find... our own living hells... in God's own good humor and time
And our own little stresses in life...

~Think about it... Pray about it...~
~AND BE THERE FOR SOMEONE IN NEED OF A HELPING HAND... EVEN IF THEY GO AHEAD AND DO IT... DON'T BE ANGRY IF THEY ARE OKAY IN THE END... JUST BE HAPPY FOR THEM AND GLAD THAT THEY'RE STILL ALIVE!!! JUST BE A FRIEND!!! AND TRY AND UNDERSTAND THEM!!!~

how very sad. who ever this is about i hope their ok. it is funny how people treat others. they must be so cold-hearted or maybe doesnt even have a heart to begin with. some people dont think of others feelings at all. Nicely written.
