A SONG OF POETRY

Poetry is singing in a monotone A song bereft of pitch, or tune Rythym written, note after note In words of sorrow, faith or fun A mime's voice given To an evening star-lit June
It's feelings put to cadence, begging For a moment you might give it, comfy and Jammied, softly snuggled in a chair Snap of embers, glowing firelight Where eyes instead of ears hum The melody written there

This is a good poem. Your first stanza is much better than your second. |
