Passed in through your fortifications

Where you deign to believe
A woman lost but not long forgotten
Who left and you hit rock bottom
When once you danced upon her lips
Where you sought reprieve
You dream in a world of second chances
Of forgotten or lost loves, of romances
Her curves and dips, lips upon lips
And oh, the fog of that fateful eve'
She's alight with a new
Someone who's not you
So you wish to stay in your world of slumber
Though I wish it too, for I am you
