Was it Fate I met you?
Was it destiny?
Or was it some slight, small
chance
that led my steps to you this night?
Can this mean I love you?
Is this meant to be?
Or is it that youll soon be gone, the childish
whim
of a fickle deity?
Is this just my lucky day?
Is my Lady pleased with me?
Or is this just a finite, fragile
fleeting
part we play tonight?
Are you my long-sought soul mate?
Do you see past this pale disguise?
Or are you just a seeming, lost
fragment
of my agile dreaming?
Will you stay here, close by my side?
Will I no longer lonely be?
Or will I be denied my heart, and it
chance we met and part?
