sleepless night

Topic: insomniac

spider spinning
weaving web,
a fearless shadow,
A quiet night.
Pale moon rising.
almost time,
Another time.
wind wisps through
the leafless trees
dry and black,
Like my dead heart.
the fire only chills my spirit
eyes watching waiting
i sit, alone
again,
night, is day and day again night
sleep not,
the hopeless have no good dreams
For the spider in the dark.
