I think back to sweet memories
things she did for me
opening up my cold heart
lessoning ache I never
thought would leave
now I realize now shes gone
the gem I had in her
a diamond that sparkles
brightens anything
so friendship now is all
that can be but Ill take it gladly
days and nights alike
are pleasant when knowing
I have her kind heart nearby
