If you can tell the reason why
You girls sit around and cry,
Joe has left our town, you say,
And will not soon return to play.
I can't believe what I've just heard
It seems to me that Joe's absurd,
He promised Connie they would wed
As soon as he awakes from bed.
He promised Shari they'd elope
As soon as eats his cantalope.
He promised Shel that life would be
nothing but cocophony
He promised Nessa they would go
to Hollywood, Los Angelo.
He promised Stitch, life would be rich
and he'd not leave her in a ditch.
Good riddance Joe, I say to you
No way could you be ever true.
So write you poems..be satisfied,
Expect no more 'cause Joe has lied.
