I Hate

Contributed by Alyshia on Tuesday, 22nd June 2004 @ 07:03:37 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Look in the mirror and what do I see?
A face of sorrow who hates being me
I pull on my hair with frustration
I stare at my reflection with confusion
My eyebrows aren't thin
My best feature isn't my grin
I don't consider myself pretty
But now I consider myself petty
I hate what I see in my reflection
I see my face full of rejection
I try to look past what meets the eye
But all I can see is a dark dull sky
My sould is sleeping
My spirit is weeping
My friends might not be my friends at all
Or I might be paranoid is all
I don't know what's real or what I imagine
But I can feel the end of a friendship
Once again paranoia wins over me
I can't let myself go, I can't get free
I'll always hate myself
I'll always hate everything
I've never been able to appreciate the inner beauty of things
My parents always sucked at parenting
I hope one day
I'll find a way
To accept things for what they are
And most of all
Accept myself
Mind, body, and heart
