Late at night, Mommy and Daddy asleep
Cautiously into the kitchen I creep
Chose the knife
Walked back to my room preparing to take my life
When you entered my room
You were not prepared for the sight that filled your life with doom
Refusing to believe what you had seen
Now you know me, I'm not too keen
Never to become a wife
Never to have a life
Never to see your face
Never to feel out of place
Late at night, Mommy and Daddy asleep
Cautiously into the kitchen I creep
Put away the knife
Glad I chose to save my life
When you walked in my room
My smile made your heart bloom
Happy to see what you had seen
Joyful to know I was truly keen
Always I will have my friends
Always life will have its bends
Never to touch a knife
Glad to say I still have my life
