Someone please tell me,
Am I not good enough the way I am?
Why are you always trying to change me?
I may not be perfect,
But I love who Ive become,
You may not like it,
But Im actually important to some.
They dont judge,
They dont try to change,
They love me for me,
Im just wondering why
thats how you couldnt be?
Im not asking much of you,
Just to respect me if you can,
You use to love who I was,
Until I didnt go along with your plan.
I need you to know that I love you,
Even though you dont approve,
Im still a great person,
Even with my mind on the move.
My thoughts may get the best of me,
But I need you to understand,
Im just me, no one else,
I cant always fit all of your demands.
Im not going to change,
Because then I would be untrue,
I just needed you to know,
Thats something Im not willing to do.

Great poem... makes one think... yes I agree... we all should look in the mirror at ourselves b4 we look at others and try to change them... like the old Michael Jackson song says... I'm starting w/ the man in the mirror...
That's the only song of his I ever liked... I think w/ his life he needs to look a bit longer in the mirror...
