My Story's At It's End

Contributed by TheLastStringCut on Wednesday, 23rd June 2004 @ 04:44:43 AM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I can't find my way out of this dream
When nothing is as what it seems
I can't seem to make believe
What I want is what I need

A story often ends
As another one begins
A life, a love, another chapter
A book called life

I scream and scream yet no one hears
Of what I want and what I fear
I wait and wait and feel the day
Slip through my grasp
I try and try to make it through
Another page as they construe
But my next chapter cannot be reached
The next page will not be breached

So I close the cover, fold it over
Lay my book down with the sound
A loud thud as it hits the ground
To lay ripped at my feet

My story's at it's end
I wish I could have stayed
Another week, another day
Another chapter, another page

I tear and tear yet nothing sends
Another page to reveal the end
I weep and weep for the wasted years
For nothing I can get back
I reach and reach for another letter
Something to come up, to makes things better
I want and want for my final chapter
To place me in eternal rest

I can't I can't seem to make it go
The feeling felt when I might as well
Burn and burn in eternal hell
I wish I had one more
Page to go before I reach the end, it's bleak
Suddenly I've became very small and weak
I try and try to grasp one more year
I've become drowned in fear

Ahhh...these are exactly my type of lyrics. Don't we all know the feeling of uncertainty, never knowing what the future brings and feeling afraid? You've expressed that very well here and I hope you'll get a wicked tune to go with these lyrics. Good luck with your band if it ever comes around.
