have you ever been so broken....
that your very soul shrieks with pain
with the pressure of a thousand tears
that drains your very essence
that thrusts into the very core of what you are
of what you strive to be
leaving only the husk of what you
once were
in your mind hangs the effigy of happiness
tangible, yet unsatisfying, unreal...empty
and there is that one source of joy that floats
On occasion before your parched eyes
that object, that entity for which you pine
for which your soul pours itself out
for which your heart cries out
for which every part of you longs
and yet you cannot achieve.....
that you wish would leave you in peace
yet you know in your innnermost
that if it left you your death would be complete....
.....have you ever been in love?
