Insurgents strike at Iraqi cities

Insurgents in Iraq have launched a series of apparently co-ordinated attacks on security forces in four towns and cities. The worst attacks were in the northern city of Mosul, where at least 40 people died and 60 were hurt in a series of car bombings, Iraqi police said. At least another 19 people died in attacks on police and US forces in the towns of Baquba and Ramadi. Residents were also reportedly fleeing fighting in Falluja.

Three US soldiers died in Thursday's raids, the American military said.

O/

Each day another Iraqi dies
Because of sleazy political lies
And often too an American boy
Whos life Bush arrogance did destroy

Now we see the anarchy Bush created
Through all the hatred that was fated
When by lying through his teeth
He laid this ugly funeral wreath

For thousands upon thousands
Have bled and died
Because this warmonger
Lied and lied

How many years will it take
For all to see he is a fake
He took you down an awful route
With his lying, scheming, terror shout

Iraqi WMDs in every place!
Danger to the human race!
Iraq and 9/11 are now linked!
Such a liar, he never blinked

And now we see the true cost
As anarchy rules and war is lost
People dying day on day
And what does Bush try to say?

All's well and going fine
Reflected glory now is mine
No moral reason to go to war
But what should BUSH care for?

He had a fantasy in his head
Put there by neoclowns brain-dead
'Get Iraq and get it now!'
'We dont care why! We dont care how!'

'Cook up the reasons and do it fast!'
'Our opportunity will not last!'
'Who cares if tens of thousands die?'
'You know its good for you and I!'

As every day sees another death
And Iraqi kid breathe their last breath
See callous Bush smirk in his oval room
This ugly liar who brought such doom

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
