uneven temper, misinterpretation, uneasy together
well of emptiness between us seems endless
the fire burned down to ashes blown away
was it only smoke and mirrors anyway?
so casually the mortal wound was made
a sliver festered until it poisoned every cell
fevered brain and heart did dwell in deaths cold hands
abandoned by the likes of you who would not give
one kind word or soft good-bye
to send me to my endless sleep
with serenity upon my lips a smile
nay, a furrowed brow of despair you left me with
to toss and turn and not forgive
the one who put me in my grave
with broken heart that none could save

ohh! wow, gaille, i love this poem, it is so deeply intense....... however; if it ever is that badly shattered i will patiently duct tape your heart back together so its not broken anymore, as we all know duct tape is like the force; it has a light and dark side and holds the universe together, just smile...that kitten's worm this morning has me weirder than usual:P hugs n' love, sis, nessa

Nicely paced, the words flow smoothly...just hope you can smile again!
