These are the Apocalyptic
days of disue, abuse,
misuse and disintegration...
These are...
A slender figure stands
by blue water, black
sky overhead, no stars...
stagnant winds ruffle satin nightgown...
A redbrick building black and white,
cast iron bars encasing...
...soft hazel hair slight masking
green eyes
glint in shadow...
bowed head; tears...
...
These are the days when I will
surrender silhouette
to raised arms
front dying sunset...
I know love, my love
is for you but I know
you will never
hold me tight as I hold you...
hand and head on chest and
breath on neck, no Never...
So my Apocalypse, is yours and
you stand barely human
hunched sinking underground
shoulders heaving, your tears match
my tears,
no Never
So to this I walk
away; from you in me
to underworld...
My Apocalypse is final
now and never.
