Lost Passion

Contributed by lovespoetic0518 on Friday, 25th June 2004 @ 09:12:41 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I see myself in this mirror,
Staring at the twinge,
It grew deeper when you appeared.
Wanting to find the little girl,
that once was steady,
Full of passion.
Days grew into years,
Slowly diminishing her dreams.
She ran into misguided affairs,
The passion disappeared.
I met you too late, longing to have faith,
Love wasn't enough, the little girl who's
envious truth,
was missing to guide me.
Glancing at my reflection,
is a woman now, older than most,
scorned yet recovered,
prepared to start over.
A tear falls down, as I smile,
the little girl was always near,
just lost in the rain, that slowly clears.
