I wanna leave this place
I dont want no good-byes
Why do I care about the place I am going
Cos its also filled with lies
The place I am leaving
Has no decisions I can make
And the place I am making
Has the same mistakes
You can only trust yourself
But yourself isnt good enough
When you need people who care
You only have yourself
When you want to be alone
You have the whole ***** up world
If you hadnt been there
What could of happened
Would it make any difference
If you are not here
The world is screwed up
And so is the government
You cant help this
But you can help yourself
And no-one else can
People can try
When the world seems great
But when the world isnt
You dont have to be a genius
To work out youre the only sane one left
If your only sane
Why do people look at you in that way
Am I paranoid
Or is it a phase
If the world looked away
It would be easier
To face the facts
The world isnt interested in you
People run rings around you
You dont understand why
Please can you tell me
Mr. Corporate man
Why the money is all false
And why are these tears
Sounds and the thoughts
Of a million years
Are trapped in the mind
Of a paranoid child
Why must you entrust
Such a gift to a child
Is it a gift
Cos gifts are real
The pains of a generation
Are left to hinder the next
