Nostalgic

I stop and sigh at the posibility of escaping this so hard reality and search for the lost past i carelessly left behind.
courage comes in tiny portions for as i see people they all fade and forget
Their bodies melt into something else, with their boosoms held up high, twisting and turning.
they walk carelessly, leaving it all behind without a glance. or thinking twice.
Then i see flags of their past, and my past as they wave.
In the wind up high, they call my name to remind me that I am one of them.

I really like this poem. I can really relate to what you're saying. So many people forget their roots and I think its a sad thing. I mean, without our past, what is it that can define who we really are? |
