I look really different since Ive been back.
But you havent noticed, you wouldnt want to notice.
I know this, because you havent bothered to ask,
Why my lips have changed shape,
Its funny how things happen,
When Im away.
I learned a lot when I was gone,
But Im at a huge loss,
I need my void filled,
I need you back.
I havent felt you since last Friday,
And it was Tuesday when I wrote this.
So have we reached our mark?
I wish I knew.
Because every time I see you,
You talk to me,
And laugh at what I say is true,
But when I let you know I was mad at you,
I dont think you understood.
Why wont you understand?
We were speaking about courage,
And it made me really tired,
I guess that means Im running out,
Have I always been this weak?
I portray myself as innocent,
To everyone else- and they think that I am.
But youve seen right through,
Through my paper-thin skin,
So if it makes you any happier,
Than youve been in the past week,
Which is more than I can say for myself,
But if it makes you feel that much better,
Ill start to tell the truth,
Just remember your dreams when you fall asleep at night,
Because maybe youll see,
That Ive always been faking you.
