Welcome To My Life

Contributed by screwup on Tuesday, 29th June 2004 @ 12:26:01 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

daddy I love you, "shut the hell up!"
mommy please listen, "get the hell out"
I have no one to trust, no one to love
no one to push me, no one to shove
daddy's an addict and a drunk
mommy's to rapped up in her life
my friends betray me with a knife
no more love in this cold world
thoughts of death and suicide in my head swirl
guys use me then I fall
first they touch me like a doll
he held me down as he slowly hushed my screams
nobody cares or hears me it seems
I scream and give them my warning
not wanting to wake up in the morning
I wish that I could die
thouhgts of suicide
I cut because I love and don't recieve anything in return
all I recieve is another stab in the back, another burn
Is this what you think of me?
your killing me, don't you see
don't bruise me dad, I love you
hit me again, I love you too
listen to me mom, I want to die
stop hiding behind all of the lies
accept me for who I am,
I am not you
I wear the mask wherever I go,
to hide behind the truth
don't abandon me dad, don't forget
as you take another hit
notice me, don't ignore
then I'll love you so much more
trapped in lonelyness, in the wake of a dream
I look down to welcome the little red stream
I am going to die
so when they find me alone in my room, blood everywhere, like my little tomb
dad will take another hit and another drink and say, "I'm sorry we lost her"
mom will cry then get on with her life
never remembering their
and how she fought with the knife

Your pain is evident as is the plea of wanting an honest person to love you in your life. Don't give up yet. You have a future awaiting you, and maybe oneday you'll look back at all the pain as a bruised memory. Keep writing it out. Tell whoever you can, but most of all, fight to live. This poem is a great expression of your pain. Keep writing! You do it well!
Angel always...godspeed...joni

I'm sorry you're feeling down right now, but, don't give up hope. You have great talent in poetry and who knows where that will take you. Keep up the great work.

Hey, remember you wrote me? I'm still listening... keep pm-ing me. I know to some degree what you're going through... I know it hurts. Just please, don't kill yourself. I know, it seems like the only answer, I don't expect you to believe me, just pm, okay? Just keep letting me know you're still alive. No one in my family's an alcoholic, but I understand how desperate to get out and just.... stop feeling! Just talk to me, okay? God, I sound like a frieking broken record. Just keep turning to your poetry as your escape. Write and write and if nothing else, just live to show the world that you're too strong for them to kill you. To show what happened and prevent it from happening to other people. God be with you and the universe hug you tight.
