Looking Back

Contributed by pixie on Tuesday, 29th June 2004 @ 12:45:24 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Looking back over the past years,
Reminiscing all the happiness & tears,
Isnt it funny how time flies,
How you never really get to say goodbyes.

Wishing you could change the past,
The moment passes you by so fast,
If given the chance to go back,
Would you swap white for black?

We all have at least one thing wed change,
Do it again differently & rearrange,
Many regrets & thinking what if?
Life just disappears down through a sieve.

Letting go of the past can be hard,
Especially when its just in the back yard,
Of your mind & that cant be erased,
But feelings of sadness can now be replaced.

One by one the bad memories disperse,
As you & your new future coerce,
But all the while you keep turning your head,
Making sure that your past is staying in bed.
