CHANGING HORSES

"There is a time for holding on like grim death.
Of course there is...

But, there is also a time my friend
for Changing Horses..."

O/

You are beginning to see it
How Bush does not add up
When the world stands against him
As a liar so corrupt

How can you possibly be safer
As all this hatred erupts?

How can it help to stoke the flames
Higher and higher still?
Creating the negative energy
That brings our hearts a chill

How can it help to divide the world
Rather than working with wise friends
How can arrogance and aggression
Achieve our safer ends?

If the Arab world sees Bush with hate
And the flames of anger grow
You start now to see his error
You will surely know

This man has let you down
As no one has EVER done
He has blindly brought disaster
Depending solely on the gun

Wiser counsel was needed
To connect the true, the strong, the real
Building from integrity solid and deep
That others know and feel

Bush is too weak
His experience is too frail
He was not capable of this job
He was born to fail

A charitable soul would say
Well, he did his best.
But in this dangerous world
You need BETTER than the rest

A wiser man was needed
In a time so very hard
Someone with a steady hand
Not this boyish shard

A real man with knowledge
Of the world outside
Not a man so easy swayed
By the Neocons who tried

By every means to spread their hate
And stoke the fires of hell
Bush was a puppet in their hands
I think you see that well

Now is the chance
At this late date
To take a WISER way
You have the chance in November
To do more than simply pray

To go along with Bush
Is to go along with hate
He has put us ALL in danger deep
Let's hope its not too late

awesome my friend reading your wise words always brings a smile to my face. Speaking of the 'wiser man' you mentioned in your poem I think that YOU are the wiser man... once again keep it up my friend it is often frustrating in the face of adversity.
