A Man With Many Names

A Man With Many Names
Every now and then, someone comes our way
who changes how we begin to start our normal day.
One with many personalities, which seem to blend as one,
a caring individual, with the warmth of a glowing sun.
At times just a bit testy, more often on the funny side,
never backing off, when different opinions do collide.
With a sharpness of mind, many talents truly known,
at least to me, time and time again, have been duly shown.
Oh, he changes his name, when'er it suits his need,
the pleasure it brings, can be seen indeed.
All of them, Dawg, stone, sneekin and finally Cayce
have all played a part, in my sometimes lonely place.
But far more than that, he has been to all
an unseen face, but always on call,
when things got rough, or seemed unreal
Cayce my friend, had a special ability to feel,
The pain in one's heart, or the joy in their smiles,
his own acceptance of life's unyielding trials,
and would just keep on saying, "Now friend, don't you fret,"
which makes me tell you Cayce, your a friend I'll not forget.

Very nice dedication.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
