America

I'm so angered by the war in Iraq
I wish our soldiers would just come back
Last time I checked, the USA was a Democracy
It looks as though Bush has changed that philosophy

The people don't want us there
But why should President Bush even care
He's out on a vacation, having fun
While soldiers are remorsing about what they've done

I cry for soldiers who are dying
Whether they are on land, water, or flying
Those brave men and women made a vow to fight
If need be, and the reasons right

People are getting decapitaited
Why couldn't this war have waited
Why couldn't the world just come together
This is a question I'll ponder forever

Brave young people from other countries are coming to our aid
I wonder how much they get paid
To watch their friends lye there and die
To know that their own time's coming as time passes by

I just want to know why the hell we're still there
The people don't want their government to share
They aren't mini United States citizens, they are there own kind
But that's just something for the American government to open up its eyes and find

You have posed a question which I've given an answer to in one of my recent poems. It may not be the correct answer, or the answer you're looking for, but its my answer to it.

I admire your question, therefore.
I enjoy reading your work, and will continue to.

Thanks for sharing this one.
