i seem to recall
i once was loved
and loved in turn
but the thought
is homeless
i m sure of it
some where
some when
but the colour
of it fades
and like an old photograph
pale memory
only hints
of the many promises
made and broken
i wonder now
if this mood
is mine alone
or shared
by another anyone
conclude
i m likely common
and in passing
note the likewise
doesn t reassure
it only grants
perspective
on latter days
and their nights
that tumble over one another
