Amber

Topic: FriendshipPoetry

You talk to me as a real person should
You share your thoughts be they bad or good,
Now always awake throughout the whole week
So happily reading your tongue in your cheek,
In my prayers and dreams you somehow appear
Many miles far away but you feel so near,
You go by the name of Amber Rose
A more perfect description could not have been chose,
Inability to help does drive me quite mad
I'll keep on praying you won't feel so sad,
You will be Ok because your spirit is so strong
You will find the love you've been searching for long,
In heaven you've a place, as you love our God
Never being deterred if some think this quite odd,
It's so plain to see you're a lover not a hater
In your most eloquent descriptions of all mother nature,
You're a loveable lady Amber I think you are great
No man could want for a more suitable mate,
You're honest, individual and so pleasantly kind
What's more there's no BS you just speak your mind,
Wishing you could see this mental image I have
My dear friend Amber I know you would laugh,
Dewy's so very lucky to have you as his Mum
I almost feel jealous that you tickle his tum,
Uuuuuuhhhhmmm!!!!!!
Sorry about that my mind just went blank
To my Dearest Amber Rose for your friendship
My heart and soul send everlasting thanks.

With love
Dean Andrew Prime

Dean, this is a great poem. And a wonderful tribute to your friend. I have been trying to write a poem about my bestfriend in the world, but for some reason I just can't find the words that would best describe how I feel about having her as a friend. I met her after I moved to Ohio, and had started a new school almost 6 years ago. When I met her it felt like I didn't have a friend in the world. And for some reason I can't put the words together to describe how I feel.

Thankyou Candice,
Amber is a very special lady, so it didn't take much to come up with a few words for her.
I'm just so very pleased that she liked it and so very luck to know her as a friend.

Candice it's not very good advice, but have you tried not trying to find the words for your feelings? I mean when I wrote this I found I didn't have to try, it just seemed to flow! But you do have to be in the right frame of mind to do this, and luckily for me Amber often puts me in this great mood!
Although I was still a little nervous about sending it to her, when I really shouldn't have been!

Thankyou again for kindly commenting so nicely on my write.

With love
Dean:-)

Dean, Actually that is rather good advice. It I wasn't so intent on finding the right words I would have seen that for my self. I know right now what I really need to do is to put that particular poem off to the side for a couple of days. I bet when I come back to it I will know what to say and how to say it. I have had to do that once before, when there was a particular idea I was trying to get across. Thank you for your advise. I am glad that you have a friend like Amber to put you in a good mood. That is what my two best friends in the world do for me. A side from Shadow they are the best.
