as I peer through the crack
into the window of your soul
I see the well of tears
drained from your blanket of fears
fears so huge, so vague
yet defined to a point
on the tip of the blade
with which you murder yourself-
lay down the blade and look again
through my eyes, through the crack
into the window of your soul....
the crack is gone, the well is dry,
no blanket needed here-
through my eyes you see,
you have nothing to fear
