What glory in tattered soul remains
Fluttered to a dead stop without wind
Pained expression of greed sucked dry
Watched pride suffering
Standing tall with tears in my eyes
Because I am one and the same
Wearing loose blame of apathy
Forget the high price easily
While acid faced dogs deny entry
Along gates and avenues
Locked in, locked out
The ink long dry, misinterpreted
Misrepresented my desires
Peace was jeered
Twisted words from skillful liars
Filled their pockets with death and dollars
While I slept the perfect sleep

such a truthful poem I loved your comment that apathy and ignorance of the truth make us weak. Loved the poem and the 3rd line was amazing.
