As I walk down this lonely road
I look back and wander when
did I go wrong. Was it last year
five years ago or just yesterday
I look back thoughtfully for a moment
there are all my good time friends,
the parties and drugs and booze, I
start to take a step towards them
and I hear my name I look
forward to the voice but I see no-one
then they say look again, So I turn to my
friends and instead of laughter and good
times I see pain and turmoil suffering and
death what happened I ask and the
voice said you haven seen the past
with open eyes now is the time to hold
up your head and walk to me because
your future is bright if you take it day
by day

Thank you for sharing that with us. It made a lump in my throat coz I too was once there where you are going now and yes take it day by day there will be brigther days ahead.
