Beautiful Sunrise

I wake up every morning
And see the beauty of the sun rise
Before I count my blessings,
Before I open up my eyes...
It's pointless if the sky is cloudy and gray,
Or if it's pouring rain outside,
Because out there, somewhere in the world,
I know, there's a beautiful sunrise.
Hop out of bed,
Land on my own two feet,
Get ready for school, work,
And my occasional "Day Off From Everything" Treat.
Then, I get in my car,
Get ready for my drive,
No matter which direction I'm going,
I'm headed into the sunrise.
Beautiful arrays of colors
And of patterns,
A playful, elfin like
Banter
That plays across
The never ending sky,
Yes, this morning, regardless of yesterday,
Today, there's a beautiful sunrise.
