plastic tubes monitors beeping eyes closed hearts breaking mom sobbing prayers flowing breathe catching lungs constricting pulse quick anxiety high hands shaking thoughts fleeing flowers delivered worry unconfined why do you do this? why don't you care? don't you see how much you matter? why do you take us here?

A very sad write. I hope your sister will be ok and she will see how very much this hurt the family and how much you all love her.

Oh, Mel - such terrible news! My heart goes out to you and your family - and mostly, to your sister. I do hope that health and happiness are just around the corner for her.
Your poem is excellent... it reads as if it was written in a state of shock, in the midst of great pain - which, unfortunately, makes sense here. You made my heart sink with this one.
Extra hugs,
SNM |
