Sitting in the candle light Overwhelmed by the sound of the night Staring at a vase of roses And bloody gashes My condolences to you He who lies there all black and blue She who is deprived of her imagination Can't sit still and waits with anticipation As the wax burns in my hand As the flesh quickly turns to blood red While the roses start to wilt And the fire continues to burn Nothing comes to mind Except for the dilapidate souls That have all been left behind The ones who can't seem to find a way To change their life for the better And live it fearlessly From day to day To the broken hearted To all who have sinned Just remember to..... Breathe like you'll never breathe again!

Good or bad, happy or sad, strong or weak, it matters not. That is the one thing we all have in common no matter what our race, econonic level, beliefs. We all have to breathe to exist. Like anything else we should do it to our greatest ability. This is a interesting and unique write.

Very vivid. Personally I am no fan of dark poetry. I would rather see you writing of joys or sorrows than despair or self-inflicted pain. That is my heart. But your path is your own. And the poem was good.

Sweet little poem that strokes the sad part of our ego where we all have been at one time or another and some of us who are still there.
Liked it very much.... |
