Anticipation arises as I sit here
Waiting....
Slower and slower the time seems to pass
I'm watching...
But still no sight of you
Anticipation becomes great within
I start to daydream
A dream of sweet bliss...
In which you are here, close to me
But they are just dreams.... nothing more
I'm still here waiting... watching....
I glance at those ticking hands, once more and once again
Hoping that it would be time
For you to be here
All I feel is the excitement of anticipation
Clutching my watch like its a precious jewel
I stare at it intently...
As if it will turn backwards
Anticipation comes to a climax
I just want to scream
Suddenly...
Seemingly out of nowhere....
A gasp leaves my mouth
A gasp of joy and happiness
Everything seems to stop....
As you walk through the door
Finally...
The moment I've been waiting for is here..
I try to hold back my happiness
But can't...
I'm screaming in my head...
As I walk towards you
The moment I thought and dreamed about is finally here
I find myself captivated by your
Beautiful green eyes
Closer and closer we become
At last a soft kiss is shared
For a moment we are the only two people there
The anticipation leaves me
And I'm just caught up in your love
