all the world's asleep to me
i tried to wake inside my dream
or rather nightmare
to no avail
tossing turning
in a fitted slumber
where you haunt me
to the core
and hold me silent
in a lost and eerie darkness
that scars my soul
and scares me to a point
of no return
imprisoned
for all the world, like i,
is asleep
to my tortured moans
