Screw Melvin V.

Contributed by frohemiasweetie on Friday, 9th July 2004 @ 12:12:32 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Except for this here day
Mostly a punk
Yeah, I was
A lamb in what a lamb would have on
Taking a lemming by the hand
Placing fingertips over my own eyes
So that I cant even witness tripping off the cliff
I only feel the midnight fall
And its appalling,
crawling with inadequate sweet recollection
Rose tinted with regret and forget what I just said
Cuz that is yesterday
And maybe tomorrow as well but the spell that the sun has got me in today
Puts that optimistic spin on a pessimist potters wheel
Churning sickly in indecision missing the hard clay of resolve under my feet
But today has solved that problem for me
and today I am falling from Amen Ras arms
Into the lap and skirt of mother earth
And this is far from the first but precariously close to hope
And I spy a sparkling semi precious gemstone prism
at the end of my scope of tunnel vision
Yesterday my cup aint have nothing in it
but this morning its two doggone thirds full
And carbonated on top of that
Imagine
And I got hip hop and Hendrix popping out my earways and so Im temporarily okay
Maybe I can stretch it into perpetuate
like heaven can wait
till I can find my own golden key way in and just stroll in
floating like seraphim
All because Im currently over him
the memo is in
the productive out basket stands thin
This is the when that my mind longed for and skin dreaded
Another sporadic beginning to the emergency broadcast sister get overpass that raggedy brother system.

I'm actually really blown away by this poem. I read it and was thinking how intense it was, it was actually amazing. Wow.
