Up In Heaven

Contributed by pixie on Friday, 9th July 2004 @ 12:36:40 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Is where our loved ones are,
You can see them in a shooting star,
Or hear them in the most beautiful song,
That stays with you all day long.

Heaven is the next stage of living,
There is so much love & giving,
Up there way beyond the sky,
Is where the good go when they say goodbye.

They watch over us lovingly every day,
Making sure no harm comes our way,
Caress our skin while we sleep,
Dry our tears when we weep.

Although our loved ones are no longer here,
They look after us & chase away our fear,
Making sure that even though they are gone,
That we have the strength to live on.

They arent really far from us,
Just a ride away on a heavenly bus,
We can see them in our dreams,
Surrounded by beautiful white beams.

Pixie;
Your poem is so beautiful, as usual. Please read my poem entitled I almost made it into heaven. The events in my poem really happened. I know the feeling of love, no fear and no heartbreak of heaven.
Thanks dear, for writing such a beautiful poem.

A masterpeice!
I can tottally relate.
My dad once threw a can up off the shelf and accross the room in front of me to get my attention.
Mom leaves her old bobie pen around that I use to fix her hair with to get my attention.
The last thing I said to my Dad was it want be long before u get your super natural wings beside Mom.
I kissed him on the forehead and said it's o.k., I want be mad, his eyes said it all, I went to eat and got back in the room as he drew his last breathe.
This write is very moving and thought provoking and so true.
luv, huggs, smiles,
emy

I too feel they are always with us. I feel my husband all the time. Many times I have felt my Dad and GrandDad. Yes, they remain close even though physically they are gone.
