war

The unmistakable smell of gunpowder rises up in the air, The children who live near your house are running away, Youre coming home after school with your schoolbag strapped around you, They think youre a suicide bomber too, but then, whos to say? You clamour into your empty home hoping someone will hear, You know that once you find your family, you can get through, Mother! Father! Where have you all gone? Nay, theyve all fled the village; theyve runaway without you Clinging to your silly old schoolbag, for tis all that youve now got, You stumble amidst the rubble of the clash, Oh! Why is this war back to the state it once was? tis what you think as you stare at the smoke and ash
